Michael Brand is a German politician and a long-serving member of the Bundestag, representing the Fulda constituency since 2005. A member of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU), he has held various parliamentary roles, including chairing the Committee on Human Rights and Humanitarian Aid. Since 2025, he has served as a Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Education, Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth. Throughout his career, Brand has been active in international human rights advocacy, co-founding the Cross-Party Parliamentary Group on the Situation of the Uyghurs and serving as co-chair of the Inter-Parliamentary Alliance on China.
