Michael Dwyer

Michael Dwyer is an American attorney, farmer, and politician serving as a member of the North Dakota Senate representing the 47th district. Born in Williston, North Dakota, he earned his Juris Doctor from the University of North Dakota School of Law and was admitted to the state bar in 1977. Before his election to the Senate in 2018, he worked as an attorney, owned Dwyer Farms, and served as the executive director of the North Dakota Water Education Foundation. Since 2019, he has served as vice chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee and has been active in legislative efforts regarding state educational standards.
