Michael Hanko is a German politician and a member of the Landtag of Brandenburg, representing the Spree-Neiße II constituency. Before entering state politics, he worked as a self-employed master tiler and later as a publicly appointed and sworn expert in the tiling, slab, and mosaic trade. He has served in local government since 2008, including roles in the Spremberg city council and the Spree-Neiße district council. A member of the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party since 2018, he has held various leadership positions within the party and continues to serve in the state parliament.
