Michael Murphy

Michael Murphy is an Irish Fine Gael politician who has served as a Teachta Dála (TD) for the Tipperary South constituency since the 2024 general election. Prior to his election to the Dáil, he served as a member of the Tipperary County Council from 2014 to 2024 and was a member of the South Tipperary County Council starting in 2009. In April 2025, he was appointed by Tánaiste Simon Harris to serve as the chair of the Joint Oireachtas Committee on Transport. He previously ran as a candidate in the 2011 general election for Tipperary South.
