Michael Pettersson is an Australian politician who has served as a Member of the Legislative Assembly of the Australian Capital Territory for the electorate of Yerrabi since 2016. A graduate of the Australian National University, he previously worked as a trade unionist for the Construction, Forestry, Mining and Energy Union. Pettersson is known for his progressive policy advocacy, including successfully introducing legislation to decriminalize the personal use of cannabis in the ACT and campaigning for drug law reform. He currently chairs the Standing Committee for Education and Community Inclusion.
