Michael V. Lee

Michael V. Lee is an American politician serving as a member of the North Carolina Senate. First appointed to the chamber in 2014, he has represented his district through multiple terms, including a notable return to office following the 2020 election. In April 2025, he was elected to serve as the Senate Majority Leader. Outside of his legislative career, Lee is a practicing lawyer who established his own law firm in 2012. He holds a bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Juris Doctor from Wake Forest University.
