Michal Čapek

Michal Čapek is a Czech politician and lawyer currently serving as the Mayor of Písek, a position he has held since 2022. He also serves as a representative of the South Bohemian Region, having been elected to the regional assembly in 2024. Before entering politics, he worked as a legal trainee and later as an attorney. As mayor, he has focused on local infrastructure projects and energy initiatives, including the controversial ZEVO waste-to-energy project. He is a member of the ANO 2011 political movement.
