Michele Guerra

Michele Guerra is an Italian politician and academic serving as the Mayor of Parma since July 2022. Before his election, he held the position of Councilor for Culture and Youth Policies in Parma from 2017 to 2022, where he led the city's successful bid as the Italian Capital of Culture. An accomplished scholar, Guerra is a professor of Cinema, Photography, and Television at the University of Parma, with extensive research in film theory and cognitive neuroscience. He was elected mayor as the candidate of a broad center-left coalition.
