Michele Hoitenga

Michele Hoitenga is an American politician and energy consultant currently serving as a member of the Michigan Senate, representing the 36th district. Before her election to the state senate in 2022, she served in the Michigan House of Representatives from 2017 to 2022, representing the 102nd district. Her political career began at the local level, where she served as the mayor of Manton, Michigan, from 2013 to 2016. A graduate of Baker College with a degree in Human Services, Hoitenga has also worked as a legislative assistant and maintains a professional background in the energy sector.
