Mike German, Baron German is a British politician and life peer who has served as a member of the House of Lords since 2010. A prominent figure in Welsh politics, he previously served as the first Deputy First Minister of Wales from 2000 to 2001 and again from 2002 to 2003, and led the Welsh Liberal Democrats in the National Assembly for Wales. Before his parliamentary career, he was a music teacher and worked for the Welsh Joint Education Committee.
