Mike Hedges

Mike Hedges is a Welsh Labour and Co-operative politician serving as a Member of the Senedd for Gŵyr Abertawe since 2026, having previously represented Swansea East from 2011. Before his parliamentary career, he was a senior lecturer in computing and information technology and a research scientist for British Steel. Hedges has an extensive background in local government, having served on the City and County of Swansea Council for many years. His political interests focus on education, health, local government, and social policy.
