Mike Klimesh is an American politician currently serving as a member of the Iowa Senate representing the 32nd district. Elected in 2020 and assuming office in 2021, he was appointed as the Majority Leader of the Iowa Senate in September 2025. Prior to his legislative career, Klimesh served as the mayor of Spillville, Iowa, from 2008 to 2020 and worked as a coach at Northeast Iowa Community College. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Luther College.
