Miltiadis Varvitsiotis is a Greek politician and attorney who has served as a long-standing Member of the Hellenic Parliament for the Athens B2 constituency. A member of the New Democracy party, he has held several high-level government positions, including Minister of Shipping and the Aegean and Alternate Minister of Foreign Affairs. Educated at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and Harvard University, he has been a prominent figure in Greek politics since his initial election in 2000. He resigned from his ministerial post in 2023 following public controversy regarding his remarks on a maritime incident.
