Minhajul Arfin Azad is an Indian politician and farmer who has served as a member of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly for the Chakulia constituency since May 2021. Born into a Bengali Muslim family in the village of Kariat, Uttar Dinajpur district, he pursued his higher education at Bhupendra Narayan Mandal University in Bihar, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Geography in 2001. He successfully contested the 2021 West Bengal Legislative Assembly election as a candidate for the All India Trinamool Congress, securing his seat with 49.78% of the vote.
