Miroslav Plevný is a Czech politician, economist, and senator representing the Cheb district since 2020 as an independent candidate for the Mayors and Independents (STAN) movement. He has served as a member of the Karlovy Vary Regional Assembly and previously held positions as the deputy mayor of Cheb and dean of the Faculty of Economics at the University of West Bohemia. Professionally, he has an extensive academic background in systems engineering and informatics, having been appointed professor in 2020.
