Mitsuru Yamagishi is a Japanese politician currently serving as a member of the Fukui Prefectural Assembly, representing the Sabae City constituency. Born in 1990, he graduated from Kyoto University and previously worked in the IT sector and for the Fukui Optical Association before founding a community development company. After an unsuccessful bid for mayor of Sabae in 2020, he was elected to the prefectural assembly in 2023 with the highest vote count in the prefecture. He is a co-founder of the regional political party Fukui no To and advocates for a positive, community-centered approach to politics.
