宮本周司

Shuji Miyamoto is a Japanese politician serving as a member of the House of Councillors, currently in his fourth term. Born in Ishikawa Prefecture, he previously worked as the representative director of a sake brewery and held leadership roles within the National Federation of Societies of Commerce and Industry. Miyamoto has served as Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry and as the Chairman of the Committee on Financial Affairs in the House of Councillors. He is known for his focus on supporting small and medium-sized enterprises and regional commerce. In 2024, he was involved in the Liberal Democratic Party's political funding scandal, which led to a temporary suspension of his party duties, though he was later re-elected to the House of Councillors in 2025.
