Mohammed VI of Morocco

Mohammed VI of Morocco is the King of Morocco and a member of the Alawi dynasty, having reigned since July 1999 following the death of his father, King Hassan II. Throughout his reign, he has implemented various political, social, and economic reforms, including the revision of the family code (Mudawana) to enhance women's rights and the adoption of a new constitution in 2011 in response to widespread protests. His policies also emphasize economic modernization, the promotion of non-sectarian Islam, the recognition of Berber culture and language, and an active foreign policy diversifying international alliances while maintaining claims over Western Sahara.
