Mohd Shahar Abdullah is a Malaysian politician who has served as the Member of Parliament for Paya Besar since May 2018. He currently serves as the Deputy Minister of Economy in the Unity Government administration, a position he assumed in December 2025. Previously, he held roles as Deputy Minister of Finance I and II under the Barisan Nasional and Perikatan Nasional administrations. A member of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO), he has been active in party leadership, including serving as the UMNO Youth Information Chief.
