Azalina Othman Said is a Malaysian politician and lawyer who has served as the Member of Parliament for Pengerang since 2004. Currently the Minister of Law and Institutional Reform, she has held several ministerial portfolios throughout her career, including Minister of Youth and Sports and Minister of Tourism. A member of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO), she was the first woman to serve as Deputy Speaker of the Dewan Rakyat. Her career is marked by a focus on legal and institutional reform, women's affairs, and corporate law, and she has been recognized internationally for her leadership in anti-corruption initiatives.
