Mugur Mihăescu is a Romanian actor, screenwriter, businessman, and politician serving as a Member of the Chamber of Deputies representing Olt County for the Alliance for the Union of Romanians (AUR) since December 2024. He first rose to prominence in 1988 as part of the comedy group Vacanța Mare and later starred in popular comedy films such as Garcea și oltenii. Transitioning into politics, he briefly served as the executive president of the Green Party in 2011 before successfully running for parliament in the 2024 general elections.
