Petrișor-Gabriel Peiu is a Romanian economist and politician currently serving as a member of the Senate of Romania, representing the Alliance for the Union of Romanians (AUR) in Bucharest. An engineer by training, he previously held various leadership roles in both the public and private sectors, including advisory positions to prime ministers Radu Vasile and Adrian Năstase, and served as an undersecretary of state for economic policies. Known for his expertise in industrial development and geopolitical analysis, Peiu has been a vocal commentator on Romania's economic modernization and fiscal policy. He was the AUR's candidate for prime minister during the 2024 parliamentary elections and currently leads the party's group in the Senate.
