Muhammad Herindra is an Indonesian politician and retired military general currently serving as the Head of the State Intelligence Agency (BIN), a position he assumed in October 2024. A highly decorated officer, he previously served as the Deputy Minister of Defense from 2020 to 2024 under the administration of President Joko Widodo. Throughout his distinguished military career, he held several high-ranking positions, including Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, Inspector General of the Armed Forces, and Commandant General of Kopassus, the Indonesian Army's elite special forces unit. He is a recipient of the Adhi Makayasa award for being the best graduate of his class at the Indonesian Military Academy.
