Muhammad Islahuddin Abas

Muhammad Islahuddin bin Abas is a Malaysian politician currently serving as the Member of Parliament for Mersing, a position he has held since November 2022. A member of the Malaysian United Indigenous Party (BERSATU), which is a component of the Perikatan Nasional coalition, he also serves as the party's Information Chief for the state of Johor. He succeeded long-time incumbent Abdul Latiff Ahmad in the 2022 general election and was awarded the 17th Yang di-Pertuan Agong Installation Medal in 2024.
