Murat Bakan

Murat Bakan is a Turkish politician and lawyer currently serving as a Member of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey representing İzmir. First elected in 2015, he has held his seat through the 26th, 27th, and 28th legislative terms. Within the Republican People's Party (CHP), he has served as a Deputy Chairperson responsible for the Ministry of Interior and currently chairs the party's Internal Affairs Policy Council. Beyond his parliamentary duties, he has been deeply involved in local governance, including roles in the Karabağlar and İzmir Metropolitan Municipal Councils, and is a dedicated advocate for civil society and environmental policy.
