Murray Watt is an Australian politician who has served as the Minister for the Environment and Water in the Albanese government since May 2025. A member of the Australian Labor Party, he has represented Queensland in the Australian Senate since 2016. Previously, he served in the Queensland Legislative Assembly from 2009 to 2012 and held various ministerial portfolios, including Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry, and Employment and Workplace Relations. Before entering politics, he worked as a solicitor and a public servant.
