My-Linh Thai

My-Linh Thai is an American politician and pharmacist serving as a member of the Washington House of Representatives for the 41st district. Born in Da Lat, Vietnam, she immigrated to the United States as a refugee in 1983. Before entering state politics, she served as president of the Bellevue School District board, where she advocated for racial equity and diversity in education. Elected to the state legislature in 2018, she made history as the first refugee legislator in Washington state. Her legislative work has focused on education reform, healthcare, and civil rights.
