Mykola Velychkovych is a Ukrainian politician and public figure currently serving as a People's Deputy of Ukraine. He previously served as Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in 2014 and was a prominent leader in the Maidan Self-Defense movement. An academic and expert in physical culture, he holds a background in history and sports science, having taught at the Lviv State University of Physical Culture. Velychkovych is also known for his work in promoting Ukrainian national martial arts, specifically Hopak.
