Mzwanele Major Sokopo is a South African politician serving as a Member of the National Assembly of South Africa. A member of the African National Congress (ANC), he previously held leadership roles within the party, including serving as the regional treasurer and regional secretary for the Southern Cape. In the 2024 national and provincial elections, he was elected to the National Assembly and subsequently appointed as a party whip. In 2024, he was convicted of contravening the Tax Act, resulting in a fine or a suspended prison sentence.
