Mzwanele Major Sokopo is a South African politician serving as a Member of the National Assembly of South Africa. A member of the African National Congress (ANC), he previously held leadership roles within the party, including regional treasurer and regional secretary for the Southern Cape. In 2024, he was elected to the National Assembly and subsequently appointed as a party whip. In January 2024, he was convicted of contravening the Tax Act, resulting in a fine or a suspended prison sentence.
