N. D. Gupta

Narain Dass Gupta is an Indian politician and chartered accountant serving as a Member of the Rajya Sabha representing the NCT of Delhi. A prominent financial policy expert, he previously served as the President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and was the first Indian elected to the Board of the International Federation of Accountants. Throughout his career, he has held numerous regulatory and governmental advisory roles, including positions with the Reserve Bank of India and the Securities and Exchange Board of India. He is a prolific author on taxation and accounting standards.
