N. M. D. Farooq

N. M. D. Farooq is an Indian politician and senior leader of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP). He currently serves as a Member of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly representing the Nandyala Assembly Constituency, having been elected in the 2024 elections. With a political career spanning over four decades, he has previously served as the Chairman of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council, Deputy Speaker of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly, and held several cabinet portfolios including Health, Minority Welfare, Municipal Administration, and Higher Education under the ministries of N. T. Rama Rao and N. Chandrababu Naidu.
