Najat Aoun Saliba is a Lebanese analytical chemist, environmental scientist, and politician. A professor at the American University of Beirut, she gained international recognition for her research on air pollution, tobacco toxicity, and environmental conservation. Following the 2020 Beirut Port explosion, she became politically active and was elected to the Lebanese Parliament in 2022. She serves as an independent representative for the Chouf district, advocating for government reform and environmental policy.
