Takamoto Nakagawa

Takamoto Nakagawa is a Japanese politician currently serving as a member of the House of Representatives. Born in Ama, Aichi Prefecture, he graduated from Waseda University and previously worked in the office of politician Toshiki Kaifu and at a textile company. Nakagawa served seven terms as a member of the Nagoya City Council before being elected to the national Diet. During his political career, he has held the position of Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications, where he focused on local government, digital infrastructure, and disaster prevention. He was re-elected to the House of Representatives in February 2026 through the Tokai proportional representation block.
