Namık Tan is a Turkish politician and former career diplomat who currently serves as a member of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, representing Istanbul. Before entering politics, he held several high-profile diplomatic positions, including serving as the Turkish Ambassador to the United States from 2010 to 2014 and as the Ambassador to Israel from 2007 to 2009. Throughout his extensive career in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he also served in the United Arab Emirates and Russia. Following his retirement from the diplomatic service, he briefly worked in the private sector before his election to parliament in 2023.
