Nelly Butete Kashumba Mutti is a Zambian lawyer and politician who has served as the 7th Speaker of the National Assembly of Zambia since 2021, becoming the first woman to hold this position. A graduate of the University of Zambia, she previously worked as a lawyer in Lusaka and held roles as chair of the Anti-Corruption Commission and commissioner on the Constitution Review Commission. In 2025, she was elected vice president of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, where she continues to advocate for parliamentary integrity and African unity.
