Nelson Abbott

Nelson T. Abbott is an American attorney and politician serving as a member of the Utah House of Representatives for the 57th district. Born in Escondido, California, and raised in Provo, Utah, he earned his Bachelor of Arts in economics, an MBA, and a Juris Doctor from Brigham Young University. Admitted to the Utah State Bar in 1994, he has operated his own law firm in Provo for many years. Abbott was elected to the state legislature in 2020 and assumed office in January 2021, where he serves on several committees including the House Judiciary and Revenue and Taxation committees.
