Nihat Biševac

Nihat Biševac is a Serbian politician and former professional boxer currently serving as the Mayor of Novi Pazar. Born in 1964 in Novi Pazar, he graduated from the Faculty of Economics at the University of Pristina. Before entering politics, he had a notable career in sports, becoming the 1989 heavyweight boxing vice-champion of SFR Yugoslavia. His professional background includes roles as a teacher at the Economic-Trade School, director of the Sports Association of Novi Pazar, and director of the local branch of the National Employment Service. As mayor, he has focused on urban development, the affirmation of sports among youth, and the promotion of small and medium-sized enterprises to foster regional economic growth.
