Niko Koffeman is a Dutch politician and animal rights activist who served as a member and party leader in the Senate of the Netherlands from 2007 until 2025. A co-founder of the Party for the Animals, he previously worked as a campaign strategist for the Socialist Party and as a broadcast director. Known for his advocacy for animal welfare and his eurosceptic views, Koffeman left the Party for the Animals in October 2025 due to disagreements regarding the party's direction. He is a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and a vegetarian.
