Nikos Christodoulides is a Cypriot politician, diplomat, and academic who has served as the 8th President of Cyprus since 2023. Previously, he held the positions of Government Spokesman and Minister of Foreign Affairs under the administration of Nicos Anastasiades. A former member of the Democratic Rally, he ran as an independent candidate in the 2023 presidential election. His administration has focused on addressing the Cyprus problem, managing migration, and implementing the Amalthea Initiative to provide humanitarian aid to Gaza.
