Nima Kulkarni is an American politician and immigration attorney who has served as a member of the Kentucky House of Representatives for the 40th district since 2019. Born in India and raised in the United States, she is the first foreign-born Indian-American elected to the Kentucky General Assembly. Kulkarni founded the Indus Law Firm and the New Americans Initiative. In office, she has focused on legislation regarding higher wages, healthcare access, police reform, and protections for victims of domestic violence.
