Nina Warken

Nina Warken is a German politician and lawyer who has served as the Federal Minister of Health in the cabinet of Chancellor Friedrich Merz since May 2025. A member of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU), she has represented the Odenwald-Tauber constituency in the Bundestag since 2018, having previously served from 2013 to 2017. Throughout her parliamentary career, Warken has held significant roles, including Parliamentary Secretary of the CDU/CSU faction and Secretary General of the CDU in Baden-Württemberg. She is also the federal chair of the Women's Union. Warken is known for her work on internal security, legal affairs, and electoral reform, and she maintains a focus on civil protection and disaster response.
