He represents the Prithvipur constituency, having secured his seat in the 2023 Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly election. Rathore entered politics following the death of his father, Brajendra Singh Rathore, a prominent five-term MLA and former minister. After an initial unsuccessful bid in the 2021 by-election, he successfully defeated his opponent in 2023 to begin his legislative career.
