He represents the Kasba constituency in Purnia, having secured his seat in the 2025 Bihar Legislative Assembly election. Running as a candidate for the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), he won the election with 86,877 votes, defeating his opponent Irfan Alam.
