Ognyan Atanasov

Ognyan Atanasov is a Bulgarian politician currently serving as the Mayor of Kyustendil. He assumed office in November 2023 following a contested runoff election where he secured approximately 64% to 68% of the vote. An engineer by profession, Atanasov represents the Green Party and has focused his administration on fostering international partnerships, such as the twinning agreement with Kiryat Motzkin, and addressing regional infrastructure challenges, including the development of industrial zones and local transportation projects.
