Oksen Lisovyi

Profile

Oksen Lisovyi is a Ukrainian educator, administrator, and politician currently serving as the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine since March 2023. Born into a family of Soviet dissidents, he previously led the National Center 'Minor Academy of Sciences of Ukraine' for over a decade and was instrumental in establishing the first Science Museum in Ukraine. Following the 2022 Russian invasion, he volunteered for service in the 95th Air Assault Brigade. Lisovyi is a graduate of the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts and has held various roles in education and telecommunications. In 2023, he voluntarily renounced his academic degree following public scrutiny regarding his dissertation.
