Olivier Bitz

Olivier Bitz is a French politician and senior civil servant who has served as a Senator for the Orne department since September 2023. He began his political career as a parliamentary attaché and later served as a municipal official in Strasbourg. Originally associated with the Socialist Party, he was the first elected official in the Bas-Rhin region to support Emmanuel Macron's 2017 presidential bid. Before his election to the Senate, Bitz held positions as a sub-prefect in Mortagne-au-Perche and Brignoles.
