Olivier Bitz

Olivier Bitz is a French politician and senior civil servant who has served as a Senator for the Orne department since September 2023. Before his election to the Senate, he held various roles in local government, including serving as an adjoint to the mayor of Strasbourg and as a conseiller général. A former member of the Socialist Party, he was the first elected official from the party in the Bas-Rhin region to support Emmanuel Macron during the 2017 presidential campaign. Additionally, Bitz has served as a sub-prefect in Mortagne-au-Perche and Brignoles, bringing extensive administrative experience to his legislative career.
