Omar Aziz is a Brazilian politician and civil engineer serving as a Senator for the state of Amazonas. Born in Garça, he previously held positions as an alderman in Manaus, state assemblyman, deputy mayor, vice-governor, and later served as the 46th Governor of Amazonas from 2010 to 2014. A co-founder of the Social Democratic Party, he has been active in federal legislative politics and chaired the COVID-19 Parliamentary Inquiry Commission.
