Rodrigo Pacheco

Rodrigo Otavio Soares Pacheco is a Brazilian politician and lawyer currently serving as the President of the Federal Senate and the National Congress of Brazil. A member of the Social Democratic Party (PSD), he has represented the state of Minas Gerais in the Senate since 2019. Before his tenure in the Senate, he served as a member of the Chamber of Deputies from 2015 to 2019. Throughout his career, Pacheco has been involved in significant legislative efforts, including the 2017 labor reforms and the creation of the Sociedade Anônima do Futebol model for Brazilian football clubs. He previously practiced law with a focus on criminal justice prosecution.
