André de Paula

André de Paula is a Brazilian lawyer and politician currently serving as the Minister of Fishing and Aquaculture. Born in Recife, he earned a law degree from the Federal University of Pernambuco in 1986. Throughout his long political career, he has served as a member of the Chamber of Deputies for Pernambuco and held various state-level positions, including Secretary of Cities and Secretary of Labour and Social Action. He has been a prominent figure in Brazilian politics, having been affiliated with the Democratic Social Party and the Liberal Front Party before joining the Social Democratic Party.
