Marcos Antonio Amaro dos Santos

Marcos Antonio Amaro dos Santos is a Brazilian Army general who currently serves as the Chief Minister of the Institutional Security Cabinet, having been appointed by President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva in May 2023. A career military officer, he began his service in 1974 and reached the rank of Army General in 2018. Throughout his distinguished military tenure, he held several high-level positions, including Chief of the Military House of the Presidency, Secretary of Economy and Finance for the Army, and Chief of the Brazilian Army General Staff. He also served as interim Commander of the Brazilian Army on multiple occasions before transitioning to the military reserve force.
